Hi! I'm a user experience / web / graphic designer. I used to draw when I was young, from when I could first pick up a pencil on through my undergrad fairly regularly. But then other visual outlets sort of "stepped up"--photography and visual/graphic design--and I'm only slowly getting back into drawing regularly again. I'm far more of a lurker than anything else, but other people's creative endeavors are deeply inspiring to me.
On the side, I play the violin, and I love music, hiking, traveling, and geeking out over volcanoes/earth science. I also care deeply about social/racial equality and equalizing the playing field for everybody, and just hope to make the world a slightly better place than when I first entered it.

Yeah, hi, it's been over 3 years since I actually updated any part of this account, other than the "favorites" section. Whoops...
So I'm no longer in Japan--I'm in grad school now, studying design, and finishing in May! I keep meaning to upload some sketches or photography (I do more of the latter than the former these days, but both are still fairly amateur), but there just aren't enough hours in the day.
The thing I am somewhat regular about updating, though (well, if "every few months" counts as regular), is a collection of Pirates of Dark Water fanart across DeviantART. (Can anyone say "one track mind"? :P PoDW is the only subject I'm e

Not really sure why it took me so long to put up new stuff...but yeah!
I've been living in Japan and I really haven't drawn much at all since coming here. I recently took my sketchbook with me when I went on vacation and forced myself to draw something, just to do it. Maybe I can scan those when I get a chance--limited scanner access these days.
I've been doing more photography than anything, so I should put some of those up, but I've taken over 2500 photos since coming to Japan and it'll be tough to narrow it down to a select few I'm really fond of. I'll try, though.
That's about it for now...time to get to bed. Good night!
