That's what it seems like, anyway...she's the last warrior left, facing some undiscernable enemy on the horizon. Done in medium compressed charcoal and a 4B charcoal pencil, on 11x17 sketchbook paper, over the course of an hour...it took on a reddish tinge when I scanned it, which I really, really like.
gorgeous shading on her robe! i like how you left it ambiguous, i would just add some mundane detail like the hill she's standing on, or her shadow on the ground so she isn't just floating in the middle of the page.
You're right...I do have a horizontal line that's supposed to represent the horizon, but it's still really ambiguous. I edited out part of my horizon line because it ended up looking pretty bad...maybe I'll try to add one in digitally. Thanks for the comment!
